S3 Padel Derby is Social Sports Society's first Midlands club, carved out of the former Eagle Market inside Derbion Shopping Centre on London Road — a 55,000 sq ft indoor hub that BBC coverage called one of the UK's largest indoor padel centres when it opened. Ten panoramic courts sit in the heart of Derby city centre next to the theatre and bus garage, so you can play without driving out to an industrial estate. Beyond the glass walls there is a gym, co-working, pro shop and bar, which is the point of the S3 model: padel plus somewhere to hang around afterwards. Hours run 7am–11pm daily. Book everything on Playtomic — family hire has been flagged around £20/hour including kit. Reviews lean friendly (Grace and coach Harry get shout-outs) though some players note a low roof for lobs and uneven bounce on spots of the floor, so set expectations if you are used to full-height purpose builds.
Facilities
Pay-to-play on Playtomic sits alongside membership tiers reported as Players Pass (around £7.50/month with a longer booking window), Unlimited Off-Peak (around £20/month) and All Access (around £45/month with unlimited off-peak and a peak discount) — confirm current prices in-app. Sessions include intro to padel, group coaching, ladies-only, socials, leagues, tournaments and 1-2-1 coaching with in-house activators and coaches. Kids coaching blocks (e.g. 10–14 yrs) appear on local listings. Community impact is part of the brand story: free hours and partnerships with local groups, including subsidised access for schools. No membership required just to book a court.

Booked via the Playtomic app for a Family Court booking. £20 for the hour which included equipment. Easy to book, staff friendly and greeted upon arrival. Court easy to find. Would use again
I had an absolutely fantastic time at the paddling club, and a huge part of that was thanks to Grace! Her customer service was completely top-notch—she was friendly, helpful, and extremely attentive. Management, please take note: Grace is an incredible asset to your team and truly deserves to be recognized and rewarded for her hard work. Highly recommend!
Was fun but abit pricy
Played here today. We found what can only be described as dead spots in the floor of the court which sound different and completely kill the ball when it bounces. We also had a lot of very uneven bounces with balls going in random directions after bouncing even with no spin. The roof is too low to play even a “low” lob. Staff are really friendly and approachable, but unfortunately the courts just aren’t good enough for the price.
Booked an intro session early sunday morning, and just so happened that no one else apart from my friend and I had booked it. Our coach Harry was a legend, and super helpful. The guy at the reception was also super friendly and made us feel comfortable after we told him we had never played padel before!
