Lowther Gardens Padel & Tennis Centre sits in the historic Lowther Gardens park on West Beach, Lytham St Annes (FY8 5QQ), a short walk from Lytham station and just off the A584 coast road. Operated with Fylde Tennis / Steve Riley Sports Services and bookable as Padel Project UK - Lowther Gardens on Playtomic, it was among the first public padel sites in the North West. Four floodlit outdoor panoramic courts — three doubles and one singles — sit in a park setting beside Lowther Pavilion Theatre, a café and a children’s play area, so post-match coffee is across the gardens rather than in a warehouse bar. LTA-qualified coaches cover tennis, padel and squash; Steve Riley is the local contact for lessons around St Annes and Lytham. Tournaments, socials and a padel & tennis league keep the calendar busy. Expect coastal weather — beautiful on a calm day, exposed when the Irish Sea wind picks up.
Facilities
No membership required — anyone can book pay-and-play on Playtomic (search Lowther Gardens / Padel Project UK). Prepaid wallet top-ups (e.g. £100) are available for regulars. Cancel up to 24 hours ahead per usual Playtomic club policy. Private padel/tennis lessons with Steve Riley and other Fylde coaches are arranged via the Fylde Padel & Tennis site or by calling 07957 110403 / emailing steveriley@srsportsservices.com. Newsletter signup covers coaching programmes and tournament dates. Sport holidays and racket sales are also promoted through the Fylde network.
