Velocity Padel Wigan is a large new North West padel hub on Caxton Close at Wheatlea Industrial Estate (WN3 6XU). Playtomic describes nine indoor courts plus a social area and fully licensed bar, making it one of the bigger club openings in the region after Velocity’s Widnes site. Early reviews from the soft-launch phase talk about friendly staff, cheap racket hire (£2), and court time that splits nicely for four (one player noted £16 for 90 minutes between four). Some visitors arrived while the lounge was still finishing, so the social spaces were catching up with the courts — but the vibe is already community-first, with socials, Americanos, intro sessions and early-morning Rise and Rally slots. Long opening hours (from 6am weekdays) suit shift workers and after-work players alike. Speke is flagged as a coming-soon Velocity venue.
Facilities
No dedicated membership tier is highlighted on the main Velocity site; play is primarily pay-as-you-go via Playtomic. Activity prices on the club page commonly sit around £10–£25 depending on the session type. Free intro coaching can be requested through the website contact form. Sister club Velocity Padel Widnes is bookable on the same brand site if you want another North West option.

Great venue, £2 to rent a racquet , £16 for 90 mins between 4, loads of courts will be coming back definetly 👍🏼
Went down yesterday and had a great time. The courts and facilities are already looking really good, but the thing that stood out most was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and happy to help, which made for a really good experience. You can tell there’s still a bit more to come, but even now it’s easy to see how good this place is going to be. Once it’s fully finished, it will be an amazing venue and somewhere we’ll definitely be visiting regularly. Best of luck to everyone involved. You’ve got something really special here!

So happy we have new padel courts in Wigan! 5 open today and soon to be 9! Staff were amazing so friendly! Recommend to anyone new or old looking for a knock about. Looking forward to it being completely finished :) 5/5 for me
