Über den Club
TC Hungen 1975 e.V. added padel to its Am Grassee sports ground in 2025, opening the first padel court in the Kreis Gießen area just in time for the club's fiftieth birthday. The court sits next to three clay tennis courts and a hard court behind the Hungener Stadthalle. Padel here is deliberately low-threshold: the rules are easy to pick up, rackets are available to borrow, and guests can book without being tennis members. Entry is contactless through the Airkey app once your slot is confirmed online. The club runs Schnupperkurse for beginners and folds padel into its summer club championship alongside the tennis events.
Ausstattung
The club operates one outdoor padel court built with glass and mesh walls as part of a roughly 115,000-euro project backed by Hessian state sport funding. Tennis infrastructure includes three sand courts and one hard court on the same tree-lined plot. Players receive digital Airkey access after booking through tc-hungen.app.platzbuchung.de. Loan rackets come with reservations; balls are sold at the club. Members may use the court from 9h to 22h daily; guest play runs 10h to 21h.
Mitgliedschaft & Buchung
Reserve the padel court through the club booking app alongside tennis slots. Full membership opens the wider club programme including teams, training, and member pricing. Non-members can book as guests during published guest hours and receive Airkey credentials by email after payment. Periodic Schnupperkurse introduce the sport to newcomers. Padel club championships run as Americano formats over the August championship weekend. Reach the padel team at padel@tc-hungen.de.
