Tennisclub De Mote in Koekelare has been a West Flanders racket hub since 1980, evolving from two acrylic courts to six floodlit outdoor gravel courts and two indoor hard courts in a hall opened in 2012. Two floodlit outdoor padel courts on artificial grass arrived in June 2021, built where one tennis court once stood. The volunteer-run club on Belhuttebaan mixes tournaments, interclubs, a tennisschool and a full social calendar with après-tennis in the clubhouse. Padel membership runs through Tennis en Padel Vlaanderen with separate tennis and padel subscriptions or a combined package. Reviews praise friendly atmosphere, punctual tournament organisation and strong facilities for the coastal hinterland.
Facilities
Annual fees via Tennis en Padel Vlaanderen: padel only adult 160 euros, 13–15 years 75 euros, 9–12 years 50 euros, under-8 free with 85 euros federation fee. Tennis only adult 150 euros. Combined tennis plus padel opleg 85 euros on top of tennis membership. Includes federation insurance, interclub and tournament eligibility, and club activities (lessons charged separately). Secretariat and tennisschool contacts listed on club site. Enrol padel and tennis subscriptions separately if playing both.

Very nice playground, only the restaurant: if you sit down at a table you have to order and they constantly come and ask what you want, so a tip: ask for your drink and drink very slowly! (not drinking = no right to sit at a table !!!

Friendly club with good service. Tournament planning has always been on time, which is definitely a plus!
