The Royal Theux Tennis Club on Avenue du Stade has been the main racket-sports address in this Ardennes town since May 1971, and padel joined the estate around 2023 when two covered doubles courts were added beside the existing tennis infrastructure. The club is a serious tennis operation — seven clay courts, two red hard courts and two indoor carpet courts — with close to six hundred members and sixty-three interclub teams, but the padel section gives locals a weather-proof option without travelling to Liège. Facilities were fully renovated in 2014, including a rebuilt cafeteria with bar lounge, restaurant, meeting room and a large semi-covered terrace overlooking the courts. The club holds the AFT quality label for its tennis school and hosts the Star Tournament on the Belgian Circuit each June. For a town of Theux's size, the combination of competition-grade tennis and covered padel in one wooded stadium setting is unusual, and the atmosphere leans social rather than corporate.
Facilities
Membership is club-based with annual cotisations published on tctheux.com — the 2026 fee schedule is available as a downloadable PDF. Padel players contact Anthony Henrichs for section enrolment, court access rules and any padel-specific subscriptions. The tennis school offers spring and summer courses plus Easter, Christmas and summer holiday camps for children, from mini-tennis through to competition pathways. Winter indoor tennis subscriptions are sold separately each season. Interclub competition is central to club life across dozens of teams. Non-members can enquire about guest play through the padel or tennis contacts, though the booking platforms are primarily set up for subscribed members in good standing.

J'y ai suivi une formation... endroit très propre, bien équipé, personne très avenantes et très serviables au comptoir. Question prix des consommations: beaucoup moins cher qu'ailleur. C'est chouette quand on n'est pas obligé de vendre une raquette pour se payer une boisson énergisante...
Magnificent facilities, fully renovated in 2014: 7 outdoor courts + 2 French courts and 2 indoor courts (carpet). Padel: 2 covered courts. Night lighting on 5 courts. Tennis school. Star tournament at the end of June. Restaurant and panoramic terrace.
