Membership & Pricing

Wel Padel opened in a converted riding school on Rue du Chant des Oiseaux in Welkenraedt, on the border triangle between Liège, Maastricht and Eupen. Six covered courts sit under one roof with modern lighting, so play runs year-round regardless of weather. The club is the Welkenraedt half of a two-site group: members also get access to Le Midi in Dison, which adds five more covered courts. Between matches, most groups head upstairs to the brasserie-style restaurant or the terrace. The atmosphere leans social rather than purely competitive, though regular AFP tournaments and interclub registration keep things lively for players who want more than casual hire.

Facilities

Court bookings go through the SportFinder app (iOS and Android). Season memberships split into winter and summer: winter covers 25 ninety-minute sessions spread over 30 weeks from mid-September, while summer (mid-April to mid-September) offers unlimited play. AFP federation membership at either Wel Padel or Le Midi is required for season passes, and interclub registration is included. Winter subscriptions pause over Christmas and during three weeks of AFP tournaments. Members can book at both Wel Padel and Le Midi under one cotisation. Tournament calendars and event enquiries are posted on the club website.

First and foremost: a beautiful riding school converted into padel courts; the restaurant is upstairs. We actually ate well, but the service staff really made too many mistakes. Rude, they almost snatch your plate from under your nose before you’ve even finished eating, strange that the specials are no longer available… I recommend training the staff in politeness and etiquette; then this is a place you will want to return to.

Lovely setting, noise level kept low despite the crowd (it was packed this Thursday evening), good brasserie-style food... I would add one or two small tapas to the menu, as well as the frog legs with garlic butter and cream (because I love them and they're becoming increasingly rare on menus)... Nice little wine list with reasonably priced wines... One small area for improvement: the service (a small mistake in our order... but it was corrected very quickly)... Highly recommended...

We ate there one evening and were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. They had a lovely brasserie menu and some great daily specials. The service was adequate. Good value for money. I'll most likely go back. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Nice place to play padel. Good courts, plenty of parking, clean showers, cool food and drink.
