Membership & Pricing

The Tennis Club de Caen is one of Normandy's largest racket-sports sites, with around 970 licensed members spread across two addresses in the city. Four outdoor padel courts opened at the main Folie Couvrechef campus on 27 June 2026 — a five-year project that replaced two synthetic-clay tennis courts along Boulevard Maréchal-Juin — and were quickly FFT-homologated for official competition. The club still runs sixteen tennis courts including eight indoor terbal halls open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. year-round, plus five quick outdoor courts at the Helitas annex. A dedicated padel school is slated for September 2026, with two club coaches already qualified to teach the discipline.

Facilities

Padel and tennis court booking via the Ten'Up app or tenup.fft.fr — requires an active FFT account and current club membership. Phone reservations remain available through reception. Adult court subscription (no FFT licence included): 280 euros for indoor and outdoor tennis; padel access follows club membership rules in the 2026/2027 tariff brochure on tccaen.fr. Pay-as-you-play court hire at 20 euros per hour per court where applicable. Student and off-peak subscriptions also listed on the club website.

A wonderful experience at the Caen Tennis Club. From the moment you arrive, you feel warmly welcomed, and Alex plays a big part in that: always smiling, attentive, and a good listener. You can tell she loves what she does and naturally puts people at ease. The club is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It was a real pleasure to have been here. Thank you, Alex.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to book a time at this club in general, but especially during school holidays; the slots are monopolized by training camps, tournaments, everything for young people who, admittedly, are on holiday, but still block everything! In short, it's impossible to play, and this is unacceptable. Saturday is also a nightmare, best avoided, with children's lessons as an excuse this time. Again, it feels like an abuse of power to take up so much space! It's like a daycare! Well, if the club benefits from it, so much the better... aside from that, the facilities are very nice.

The courts are beautiful, but getting a membership there is pointless! There are tournaments going on all the time, so there are never any available courts. Why pay for a membership under those conditions? Oh, I forgot: if you want to play, there are outdoor courts... in the rain and without lights. Quite surprising for a club! It's old-fashioned management, which is actually pushing many players towards padel. The ship is slowly sinking, and the crew keeps filling it with water...

We simply wanted to rent a court for an hour to have fun and play tennis with friends. However, we were subjected to unacceptable and discriminatory behavior by the reception manager. Two of my friends were wearing headscarves, and upon our arrival, he made it very clear that we were not welcome. He compared my friends' headscarves to those worn in Iran or Iraq, openly stated that he was Islamophobic, and added that "people like us" had no business being there. We were polite and respectful, yet we received a humiliating and inappropriate response. Nothing in the club's rules prohibits wearing a headscarf. Sport is a universal activity that should unite, not divide. This kind of behavior is shameful and has no place in a sports facility in France.
