Tennis Club de la Baie de Douarnenez is a coastal FFT club in Finistère with more than thirty-five years of history, now centred on a modern Ploaré complex inaugurated in 2020 at 8 allée Sainte-Croix. Alongside four tennis courts in the main hall—two covered indoors in a timber-and-micro-perforated-panel building—and additional outdoor tennis at Tréboul near Plage des Sables Blancs, the club runs one outdoor padel court at Ploaré. Padel play is seasonal from March through October on Ten'Up, which suits Brittany's weather and keeps the lane busy in summer when holidaymakers hit Douarnenez. The setting is the draw: padel with sea air a short walk from the beach. Visitors praise friendly volunteers who lend rackets and balls to first-timers, code-based court access after online payment, and coaching from Romain Jouan during school holidays. The club is labelled Club Engagé and Club Formateur on the FFT platform.
Facilities
All court bookings—including padel for members and visitors—run through Ten'Up at tenup.fft.fr under DOUARNENEZ TENNIS BAIE. Fullmotiv lists padel hire at €24 per court without equipment loan and €40 with rackets and balls supplied; an FFT padel licence costs €20 for players who need one. Individual lessons and holiday stages with Romain Jouan can be arranged via the club website contact link. Membership and collective course enrolment also open on Ten'Up each season. Hi everyone! We played tennis for the first time today. It was fun and easy. We booked a time on the website and paid. We received a code to enter. We arrived and used the code to enter. We don't have rackets or balls. The club staff gave us everything. It was very kind of them. I'm grateful for such an active holiday. I recommend it!
Fantastic club. The equipment, the welcome, and the lessons are all excellent. The instructor is amazing with the kids; he's always in a great mood, with fast-paced activities and skill-based games. He does a fantastic job! He manages to give each of his young players attentive and focused guidance. Well done and thank you!
