GDR Tennis Padel Guipavas runs the Complexe du Moulin Neuf on the edge of Brest, where the club claims to be the first FFT-affiliated site in Brittany with covered padel courts. Two indoor lanes use blue carpet with a fine sand layer inside glass-and-mesh enclosures. The wider campus mixes four indoor resin tennis courts, four outdoor artificial-clay courts and a free-access asphalt lane, plus a two-storey social zone. Padel sits naturally alongside a busy tennis programme rather than as a standalone warehouse club.
Facilities
Padel slots book on Ten’Up; non-member courts open 48 hours ahead at 28 € per session (1h–1h30, equipment included — about 7 €/player). Tennis court hire from 15 €/hour. Beautiful complex, excellent service. The courts are pleasant, great games played! 🎾
Merci pour l’accueil cet été, prêt des balles et raquettes, top pour la partie de padel. Beau complexe !
The same old problem in 2025: they still don't have a solution for finding open games for non-members... and when you talk to someone on the phone, it's like you're asking for something extraordinary to join a Messenger or WhatsApp conversation... the group is only for members... Sorry for wanting to pay for games during our holidays, it's all a bit ludicrous. It's not that complicated to create another group open to everyone to find partners; it's done everywhere, but not here, it seems... Those Bretons are behind the times, haha.
While on holiday in Brittany, I called the club to meet up and organize a padel match. They flatly refused! I wasn't asking to join the WhatsApp group, just to play a game with some club members. I'm ranked 2340 (level 7), so I'm not exactly a beginner, we could have had a great match. Being Breton but living in the Basque Country, padel is a sport of sharing at my club. It's a shame to see that this isn't the case at yours. I'll go to a more welcoming and friendly club next time!
