Tennis Academy de Luminy sits on the Luminy university campus in Marseille's 9th arrondissement, with the Calanques as a backdrop. The club has run tennis here for years and added padel in March 2021 with four full panoramic courts — glass walls on all sides, the setup you see at most modern French clubs. Padel fits the site well: doubles-only, easy to pick up if you already play tennis, and popular with families. Clément Sazarin leads the padel school and children's Padel Academy. Hourly court hire runs all week, day and evening, in 90-minute slots at €11 per player with equipment included. The wider complex has LED-lit hard and clay tennis courts, covered clay courts, multi-sport pitches, pétanque, table tennis, a clubhouse, and a private pool with restricted access during kids' camps. Five hundred free parking spaces and affiliation with the Ligue de Provence make it a practical base for racket sport in the south of Marseille.
Facilities
Padel players can take a €500 annual subscription for unlimited padel court access, or combine tennis and outdoor padel in a €790 multi-sport pack. Pay-as-you-play remains straightforward: €11 per player for a 90-minute slot, equipment included, available throughout the week. Carnets of 10 sessions cost €100 and 20 sessions €180 if you prefer not to commit to a yearly pass. Coaching is available through Clément Sazarin — private lessons at €50, or €35 per person in a pair. Children can join the Padel Academy within the club's broader tennis and multi-sport school programme. The club is open seven days a week with reservations handled by SMS or phone, which suits regular players who want flexible evening slots without a heavy membership structure.

A wonderful discovery at the foot of the Luminy calanques! For €45 per person (drinks not included) on weekdays, you can enjoy lunch, the buffet (which is truly excellent), and the swimming pool (open from 10 am to 7 pm). The lawn is equipped with sun loungers, some pitches are shaded, there's a bar, and the music creates a relaxing atmosphere! The only slight drawback is the somewhat dated toilets and the not-so-clean outdoor furniture, which is a shame, but it didn't spoil this lovely day. I highly recommend it.
Luminy Padel is great! The staff is really nice. I was having trouble booking a court, so I called and the lady was lovely. The courts and furniture are good quality, and the lighting is powerful. Plus, you have a great view! Really great prices! See you again soon!
