Tennis Club Martigues sits on Avenue Auguste Baron, behind the town's cinema complex on the Étang de Berre side. What started as a traditional tennis club has grown into a multi-racket venue: ten outdoor tennis courts, two covered indoor tennis courts, two outdoor padel courts and pickleball traced on an existing tennis surface. President Denis Bensoussan describes an open-door policy — visitors can watch Sunday team matches in March or drop by to see what membership involves. Padel runs year-round alongside tennis, with an adult and children's school run by four state-certified coaches. Courts book through FFT Ten'Up, where the club typically lists hundreds of open slots. The club house is the social hub after matches, and the site hosts interclub competitions for both tennis and padel.
Facilities
2026 padel membership costs €150 and includes a club t-shirt, TenUp reservations and court access from 8:30 — licence not included on the padel-only pass. A combined tennis and padel membership is €200 with the same court access window plus member events. The padel school for adults runs €485 for a weekly 90-minute session (max four players per court, school holidays excluded, t-shirt included). With full tennis and padel membership bundled, the school package is €510 and adds unlimited court access plus FFT licence. Children's padel school is €270 for one weekly session or €390 for two. Pickleball membership is €100 for 1h30 per week. Tennis discovery membership (three months) is €80 for newcomers testing the club.

The reception? You feel like you're bothering them as soon as you walk through the door. The staff is either completely absent or busy chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring the customers. To top it all off, the reservations are a complete farce: even when you pay in advance, they "forget" your time slot with almost artistic nonchalance.
If you think you've seen a poorly managed padel club, wait until you set foot in the Martigues padel club. It's simple: everything there is a disaster. The courts have more holes than Swiss cheese, the glass walls rattle with every serve, and the carpet looks like it's from the last century—probably salvaged from an old, abandoned bowling alley.
Ah, what a joy to discover a padel club that seems to have been designed by someone who hates padel and people. The courts? An architectural marvel: a surface that bounces randomly, glass that reflects your despair more than the ball… pure art. The staff, meanwhile, are legendary in their efficiency: you could almost believe they're there solely to prove that customer service is just an urban myth. The rental rackets have probably seen some action, and the balls bounce with all the enthusiasm of a tired snail. In short, an exceptional place for those seeking a new passion: wondering why they came.
