Tennis Club La Pape has been a Rhône department institution since 1973, set on Boulevard Marcel Yves André in Rillieux-la-Pape with views over the Lyon conurbation. More than a thousand people pass through each year for tennis, padel and badminton, and the club prides itself on a social, inclusive mood that reaches into local schools and city programmes. The padel zone has three outdoor pistes plus a relax area that also hosts pickleball, sitting alongside four covered tennis courts, traditional clay, outdoor hard courts, a gym and a 200-square-metre clubhouse. With over 550 licensees and 25 teams, it feels like a small sports village rather than a single-sport shed. Competitions run through the season, and the club positions padel as a natural extension of its long tennis culture.
Facilities
Padel court hire is available to members and visitors through BalleJaune, with padel listed at around twelve euros per hour on the public tariff page alongside tennis, badminton and pickleball rates. Annual memberships and monthly direct-debit formulas are handled through the secretariat for players who want regular access across all racket sports. The club runs padel competitions during the year and integrates padel into its broader team and coaching structure with three full-time coaches. Families and juniors benefit from the club's long-standing school and community partnerships across Rillieux.

A perfect club for all levels where everyone is welcome. A good restaurant, good teachers, numerous courts (tennis/padel/badminton), a great atmosphere, nothing to complain about!

They are always attentive and professional, providing excellent explanations and helpful advice. This club is constantly evolving! I highly recommend this club for having a blast playing tennis, padel, or badminton!
They play music loud all night almost every weekend, they don't care about the neighbors. Disturbing all the surrounding houses doesn't bother them, incredible.
