The Idsteiner Tennisclub Grün-Weiß e.V. is one of the Rheingau-Taunus region's largest tennis clubs, founded in 1951 with around 530 members and ten tennis courts in the Wolfsbachtal leisure park at Himmelsbornweg in Idstein. Padel arrived in 2019 as a single outdoor court squeezed onto roughly a third of a tennis court footprint — glass end walls, mesh sides and artificial turf, about 20 by 10 metres. The club treats padel as a social add-on to its core tennis programme: members play free, while guests and non-members can book through the same Ebusy system used for tennis. Google reviews focus heavily on the clubhouse restaurant, which since 2024 serves Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes alongside standard club fare.
Facilities
Members book padel free on tennisclub-idstein.ebusy.de or at the clubhouse terminal — you must name all four players; each non-member guest costs €4 per 60 minutes or €6 per 90 minutes, debited from the booking member. Non-members book online only: €16/60 min or €24/90 min before 17:00, €20/60 min or €30/90 min from 17:00–22:00. Pay via PayPal or instant transfer. Cancel up to 15 minutes before play; codes activate five minutes before the slot. Partner matching runs through Circle Square (replacing old WhatsApp groups). More detail at padel-idstein.de.

End of May 2024. The tennis club restaurant has a new tenant. Since the new tenant is from Africa, you can order dishes from Ethiopia and Eritrea. We decide to order a mixed platter for two. An excellent choice. Nicely spicy and full of flavor. Highly recommended. I hope we can eat here often.

Very friendly service, good food and reasonable prices, e.g. lunch special for €9.50 (meal with one drink and dessert). The tables are nicely set with tablecloths. We will definitely come back.
This club is impressive. Well-maintained, with a restaurant and bar in a peaceful, beautiful natural setting. Highly recommended! A recreational area with a swimming pond and beach, and an indoor tennis center with a restaurant are in the immediate vicinity.
