Membership & Pricing
Pistas de tenis Aldea Nova are municipal racket-sport courts in the Aldea Nova urbanisation, managed by the Concello de Ames sports department near Santiago de Compostela. The site groups padel and tennis in one quiet corner of the housing development on Rúa Miradoiro — away from main roads and popular with locals who want a peaceful hit. Padel arrived here in 2007 as one of the council's early outdoor courts; tennis expanded later when two fenced hard courts replaced a former seven-a-side football pitch, keeping raquet sports together in the same zone. The padel court was fully refurbished in 2021 with new mesh, repainted walls, and repaired surfaces, reflecting how much demand the sport draws in the area. Players book online rather than turning up on spec. Reviews note the courts are well kept but basic: open-air only, with no clubhouse, toilets, or rain cover.
Facilities
Courts are public municipal facilities rather than a private membership club. Residents and visitors reserve slots through the Cronos online system or the Deportes Concello de Ames app, with the option to book on behalf of others or grant authorisation for shared access. Pricing and session lengths are set by the council and published on the booking platform. Sports school enrolments for other Ames programmes use the same digital system. For specific rates, availability, and any resident discounts, check the Concello de Ames sports pages or the app directly.

The people here are mean; they all live together like a nest of insects. They wanted to feel important and have a house in Santiago, but since they didn't have the budget for one, they built their own housing development near Santiago, but without touching Bertamirans, lest the very exclusive neighbors get infected by the townspeople. So what you end up with are conceited neighbors with semi-detached and semi-detached houses in a rich-people complex.
In perfect condition. Perfect for enjoying the activity, away from the noise.
It lacks basic services such as toilets and there is nowhere to take shelter in case of rain.
They are just clues, if it rains you get wet
Wonderful experience
