Club de Tenis Albox

I visited the Club de Tennis with my mother and her friends on Friday for coffee and lunch. There were a few other people there but otherwise it was quiet. As my parents had lived in the area since 1993 I had been there with my daughter and Wifey about 25 years ago during the summer season when it was busy and in full swing. On this visit it was clear to see the changes that had happened over the years and the off season work they were carrying out. The banking by the pool has gone and now has a sun bathing area. There are Padel courts where one of the old competition courts stood and 2 of the 3 remaining tennis courts appear to be under renovation. They still have the same car park which copes with about 25 cars and on busy nights parking spills over onto the narrow access road outside. This can cause some consternation among residents so beware. The stairs up from the car park are steep but have a handrail which our friend used on the way up as he has leg problems but, as it is painted black and exposed to the sun was too hot to use on the way down. Once you're on the terrace it's worth the effort. There is a large, partially shaded sitting area with fantastic views south over the Almanzora valley and it gets the sun for most of the day. I bet the sunsets can be spectacular too. There is a large indoor bar and dining area and toilets to hand. Unfortunately on our visit there was an issue with the electric which they resolved but there was doubt as to whether we would be able to eat but we did and, considering the challenges the kitchen had it was all good. Our drinks were top notch and it's good to see the place is still in business and I look forward to visiting again when I'm next in the area The pictures etc hopefully show this money is being spent in the off season to keep the place up to standard

Great entertainment from De Loco's and a beautiful entrecot in Cafe Paris sauce with chunky chips. It's the 3rd time I have eaten here and the food is a consistently high standard and with a bill of 33 euros amazing value too.

Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food, great menu - pizzas are fab!! Lovely setting, and a swimming pool in the summer - highly recommend this place - Paco and Maria superb hosts!!

We have friends that belong to this club , very friendly atmosphere , really reasonable prices and the food is surprisingly good , really enjoyed it here
