Membership & Pricing
Barnsley Padel Club is the only dedicated padel venue in Barnsley, based at Shaw Lane Sports Club on Shaw Lane. The club offers four outdoor panoramic padel courts with floodlights, so evening sessions stay playable when Yorkshire daylight drops early. Courts are open to members and pay-and-play visitors alike, and the atmosphere suits complete beginners as much as regulars who want a local game without travelling into Sheffield or Leeds. The padel courts sit inside a long-established multi-sport club rather than a standalone facility. That means you arrive to a proper sporting environment with parking, a busy club feel, and other sports sharing the wider grounds. Players regularly describe the courts as clean and well maintained, with a welcoming social vibe that makes it easy to settle in whether you are booking a casual hit or looking for more competitive games.
Facilities
Court booking and membership are handled through the Playtomic app on iPhone and Android. Non-members can book pay-and-play sessions with no obligation to join. Members receive a minimum 25% discount on court fees and can reserve courts up to 28 days in advance, which helps for popular evening and weekend slots. Membership signup and further membership details sit inside Playtomic rather than at a front desk. Coaching is available for players who want structured sessions, and the club welcomes complete beginners as well as regulars. If you are deciding whether membership is worth it, the advance booking window and court-fee discount are the main practical benefits for frequent players.

Good place to visit if you are a player of one sport or many sports they have football training cricket padel inside are several squash courts where people can watch from above all round nice place to go with a very social atmosphere
Welcoming and friendly and courts well maintained. Complete beginners are more than welcome. Competitive or casual games. Great place to make new friends. Nice bar/cafe for a drink after and members can use the shower facilities. Absolutely love it.
It feels like you’re on holiday here!
Fantastic club with a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The courts are excellent, the facilities are great, and the coaching and organisation are first class. The membership and court prices are very reasonable and cheapest around, making it accessible for everyone. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a regular player, you’ll feel right at home. A brilliant addition to Barnsley and highly recommended to anyone wanting to give padel a try!
I’ve played at the Barnsley padel club since it opened and had never played racquet sports before, well I just loved it, I love how convenient it was to have an actual big car park, the facilities are great, I signed up as a member so I then had access to the changing rooms and showers and everything was good, The padel courts are clean well maintained and have vending machines to rent racquets and buy balls, I also have to say since starting to play padel I have now been to a few different venues and Barnsley is the best set up and and very affordable even at there peak times
