Membership & Pricing
PicklePad by Smeda Sports Ltd claims to be the UK's first dedicated indoor pickleball and padel centre, opened in Mudeford on Christchurch's Priory Industrial Estate by founders Karen and Tania. The warehouse-style hall houses two indoor padel courts alongside four pickleball lanes, a gym, and a studio, giving the Bournemouth–Christchurch corridor a weatherproof racket-sport hub. Google reviewers consistently praise the spotless courts, welcoming vibe for beginners, and active social programme. The brand leans into community: mix-ins, holiday trips, and World Cup viewing nights sit alongside straightforward pay-and-play court hire.
Facilities
All bookings run through the Playtomic app, including courts, academy sessions, and memberships. Padel membership costs 22 pounds per month with discounted court rates and 20-day advance booking; joint household membership is 17 pounds per person. Pay-and-play padel runs roughly 30 to 40 pounds per hour. Karen leads beginner padel classes and Friday Americano social mix-ins from about 10 pounds. Intermediate matchplay and themed competitions appear on the Playtomic calendar. Youth membership is 20 pounds per year plus session fees.

If you are looking for somewhere to take up a new exercise like Pickkeball or Padel then this is a great place to start. There are beginner classes available where you can learn the basics and the staff are friendly and helpful. Don’t worry if you don’t have the equipment, you can hire what you need at the venue. There is ample parking and the courts are clearly marked and of a high quality. There is a great community here too, ready to welcome new arrivals to the social mix-in sessions. Highly recommended.
Modern, well-maintained sports venue to play padel and pickleball. I enjoyed the courts, didn’t feel like many dead spots. Slightly cheaper than Cross Court, £40 an hour. Racket rental and balls available. Staff are super friendly. They have a comfy chill-out area by the reception which is nice.
Great indoor facility with 4 Pickleball and 2 Padel courts. Very well run and maintained venue with a friendly and helpful team that provides coaching, drills and lessons. There's a nice little bar / cafe too for post match refreshments.
If you’re looking for a place that serves up some great facilities, the PicklePad in Mudeford hits the sweet spot! Whether Padel or pickle is your game - the courts are ace and the staff are friendly and always on the ball. There is a very welcoming atmosphere with no judgement or backhanded comments towards beginner players. I do recommend booking a court be-forehand in the Playtomic app as it gets busy, especially Padel. There is also a Cafe where you can score a cup of coffee and a slice of cake after your game. Overall a 5 star facility - smashing it.
Absolutely brilliant to have this in Christchurch. 2 beautiful padel courts and 4 pickle (plus gym and studio) - all indoors. Spotlessly clean and in mint condition. Really friendly environment too, great social scene - both beginners and professionals seem to love it equally! Loads of classes, club nights, drills and tournaments, as well as one to one coaching. I'm already addicted!
