Membership & Pricing
PDL Padel United Chelmsford sits on Great Baddow Recreation Ground in Essex, part of the wider Padel United network that runs venues across the UK. It is an unstaffed, gate-access club: you book online, arrive with your booking code, and get onto the courts without a reception desk. That setup suits players who want early starts or late sessions without waiting on staffed opening times. The site is aimed at everyday play rather than a full clubhouse experience — free parking beside the courts, free rackets and balls in a shed, and toilets nearby during daytime hours. Coaching is available through an external coach if you want structured lessons. Members pay less per hour; non-members can still book at slightly higher rates. Reviews often mention the condition of the courts, easy booking, and the value for beginners who do not own kit yet.
Facilities
Anyone can book at Chelmsford; membership mainly cuts the hourly rate. Adult annual membership is £75. Over-65s membership is £60 a year. Members pay £4.50 per player per hour off-peak (£18 per court) and £6 peak (£24 per court). Non-members pay £5.50 off-peak (£22 per court) and £7.50 peak (£30 per court). Sign-up is online through Padel United. If you play a few times a month, the annual fee usually pays back quickly against the member rates. Casual players can skip membership and still hire a court at the higher walk-up prices. Coaching is separate and handled by an external coach — ask the club for schedules and prices rather than assuming it is bundled with membership.

Affordable location to play paddleball and free parking whilst you play. Well kept court and great that paddles and balls are offered as part of your court rental. Just wish that the few offending renters would put the balls and paddles away properly and be wary of their garbage being put where it needs to be before they leave. We should all take care of these spaces.
Really nice experience, courts in really good shape, will definitely come back again.
Lovely courts, good condition, easy to book, keypad security at entrance, and lots of parking, Added bonus that free racquets and balls are available to use to play. Booking fee is very reasonable in my opinion.
Great facilities for the price, especially for beginners
Great value for money. Very helpful and friendly staff.
