Membership & Pricing

Surrey Sports Park is the University of Surrey's £36 million sports campus on the Manor Park site in Guildford, and padel has landed here as a flagship addition to an already busy racket-sports programme. Four outdoor panoramic courts operated by PadelStars opened in late 2025, giving Surrey players a proper home for the sport without leaving the county. The courts sit within a wider complex that already runs tennis, squash, badminton, netball, climbing, swimming and a large gym, so a padel session can easily become part of a full training day. PadelStars positions Guildford as the start of a larger expansion at the park, with plans to grow into one of the biggest padel hubs in the South East. For visitors, the setting is hard to beat: modern university facilities, on-site parking, free WiFi and a café, all minutes from Guildford town centre and the mainline station. Whether you are a student squeezing in a match between lectures or a local group booking a regular slot, the combination of university infrastructure and PadelStars' pay-and-play model keeps the barrier to entry low.

Facilities

PadelStars runs pay-and-play at Guildford, so you can book a court as a guest without joining anything. Membership is optional through the PadelStars app and mainly buys better rates and booking windows. Standard membership is typically around £175 per year with promotional early-bird offers sometimes dropping the price; members get roughly 20% off court fees, can book up to ten days ahead instead of seven, enjoy free cancellations up to 24 hours before play, and receive discounts on coaching, activities, food, drinks and apparel. Premium tiers add further perks for regulars. You can split the court fee between players when booking as a group. University of Surrey students and staff may have additional access benefits through the sports park relationship — check PadelStars Guildford or Surrey Sports Park sport pages for current student offers.

After 7 years at Surrey Sports Park I feel qualified to write this review. The steam room is constantly out of order, there has been thefts from the changing rooms and currently the showers are not working and the hand dryer has been out of order for three weeks. Last summer, despite no full gym being available due to refurbishment, they still considered it acceptable to charge the full membership price. To top it off, the new parking system has been poorly communicated to members and many, now face fines from the contractor as the communication from Surrey Sports Park did not clearly identify that multiple cars had to be registered across not one, but two apps. If you do write to ask for explanations, their tone is that they could not care less!

Am becoming incredibly frustrated with this place. The sudden introduction of parking fees is not great, I know you get 90minutes free but as a paying user I don't feel I should have to pay at all, there are many occasions where I'm visiting for longer, there should be a system in place where you can add your registration at reception to get free parking. Secondly as a parent of an under 16 who like to use the climbing walls, I have to stay onsite. It would be nice if the cafe was open, closing at 6pm on a Sunday while all the facilities are open is daft, am I supposed to just stand around and look dodgy! And on the occasions when it is open it's too busy to grab a seat I've also not been impressed with a number of staff recently, let's just say they don't make me want to come back again

Great sports facility and I’ve been coming for some time with my daughters. We love to come swimming and being such a large pool there are many more lanes free unlike other public swimming pools. Great facility to have a sauna and steam room and a great motivator to go swimming! Also has an excellent gym with high performance equipment. Excellent squash courts and climbing facilities which we’ve used also. Definitely the best sports complex for a long way in my opinion. Keep it up!

Nice place, being here for swimming competition, long course swim. Parking is free for threes hours or if you come for an event who is long then 3 hours you have to register your number plate at the reception desk. If you come for a swimming event be aware of the limited space of seats and quite difficult to move on from one side to other. Coffee shop is nice and with lots of places to seats. Nice, polite staff.
