Membership & Pricing

Rocks Lane Chiswick is a large multi-sport padel hub on Chiswick Common Road, a short walk from Turnham Green. The site combines outdoor and covered courts with a busy programme of coaching, socials, leagues, tournaments and junior courses. Adult players book through Playtomic and must register on the app before playing; rackets are hireable and balls are sold on site. Regulars like the location and flexible refunds on cancellations, while noting 1-hour slots and dated changing areas. It works well if you want lots of court choice and community activity in west London, less so if you want luxury facilities or longer default bookings.

Facilities

Court hire is available without membership; membership is described as affordable but optional. Adults must register on Playtomic before playing. The app supports court booking, finding teammates, leagues and tournaments, level/ranking tracking, split payments and match score recording. Players can self-assess their level on Playtomic or book a rating lesson with a coach via padel@rockslane.co.uk. Memberships, leagues and courses are offered at the Chiswick site alongside pay-and-play court hire.

*edited post Rocks Lane response 1) We arrived on time, we were not late and many arrived after us. It appears this was explained before our arrival so therefore early. This is fine but if that’s going to be the case, have someone who is identifiably a member of staff available to help when others arrive on time - as I mentioned, no one appeared in charge and there was no guidance 2) I’m a frequent user of Playtomic so this is how I expected it to be done - I’ve checked the rankings of people I played with and it’s immediately apparent this is not how it was handled - at least on my court… 3) Other newcomers were openly irritated themselves at what they deemed poor organisation and terrible value for money Initial review: I can’t believe how bad the Padel social was…you would’ve struggled to organise it any worse. Total chaos - you arrive with 0 instruction - no clear guidance on what to do and no one apparently in charge…they will have people arrived confused every week (and I doubt there are many regulars given how poorly ran it was ) so how do they not have a clear process. You pay £30 for 2 hours (racket hire NOT included) but only actually play 4 x 15 minute games. You are paying £30 therefore for an hour. In essence, they sell to double the amount of people they should do and it makes for a much worse experience. The allocation to courts is also terrible - I brought a friend who had never played before (and was therefore a much lower rank) and his whole court was intermediate level vs mine that had multiple people unable to properly return a ball. Everyone has different levels, that’s fine - but having competent people mixed with total beginners was so frustrating. Other clubs have a refined system in which you’re constantly playing and also move up / down if you win / lose. The money grab of this Rocks Lane Chiswick social means that rather than this constant, competitive padel, you’re playing on and off at a very inconsistent level. I was really looking forward to this but I’ve left feeling very unaccomplished and robbed. Avoid.

Feedback as someone who’s played regular padel here for 2 years: COURTS -recently refurbished the 4x indoor courts which are much better but still not best in class like in Rocket or Padium. -occasional leaks on the indoor courts when it rains heavily which is annoying -absolutely no space between the courts so people always bump into each other. BOOKING SYSTEM -Playtomic and slots are for only 1h which is quite restrictive on competitive games. Most people end up playing two separate games over 2x 1h to make it worthwhile. -the positive: if you need to cancel due to illness/injury, club immediately refunds you credit even if under 24h which is not the case with other clubs. They also refund the 3 players in case of a no-show. -the negative: they will sometimes cancel games if someone pulled out -membership is affordable but not indispensable. CUSTOMER SERVICE -mostly friendly, depends really on the person at reception or the coaches around. -I find they are very kind on the phone and deal with your query 9/10 times. LOCATION -great access via tube as it’s 2min away -expensive street parking around CONCLUSION: a decent place to play padel, good value for money but shame they don’t do 90min bookings.

It's a good place to play & learn Padel Tennis. Even if you don't have any friends and new in town. Just download the Playtomic app and try it... They have coaching, tournaments, padel social, etc. Courts are cleaned regularly. Close to Turnham Green Station and Bus Stops. Free street parking on Sunday.

Absolutely mental prices considering what it offers. Rude staff aswell. There’s better options out there with better accommodation and friendly staff and community.

A pretty basic place for the price of court rental. Terrible changing room facilities, but in some ways, this no fuss approach is what I want. It's the sport that matters not luxury comforts. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. One star dropped for the very dated changing facilities, otherwise I'd give it 5
