Membership & Pricing

Stratford Padel Club is one of London’s largest indoor padel venues, with nine courts at 221 High Street, E15 — about seven minutes’ walk from Stratford High Street DLR. Founded in 2018 by Javier Fernandez Aguirre, it grew from three courts to nine by early 2024 and now hosts a huge East London community (tens of thousands of registered players). The pitch is social as much as sporting: Spanish food and tapas, a bar, beer garden, gym and a strong open-match culture with an internal rating system. New players usually start with LaunchPad or a Starter Package assessment before joining levelled open matches. Reviews praise coaches and community; some regulars also note busy courts, waiting lists for academies and wear on surfaces. Bookings use the club’s own app and website, not Playtomic.

Facilities

Pay-and-play is available after a free app/website account; membership unlocks cheaper rates and extras. Published tiers include Off Peak (~£15/month), Monthly (~£25/month with gym access), 6 Months (~£130), 12 Months (~£220) and 12 Months Plus (~£299). Peak open matches are often quoted around £15 per member / £22 non-member for 90 minutes; full court hire is priced per court (for example about £40 member / £59 non-member peak for 60 minutes — check the pricing page for current figures). Peak is typically weekday evenings and weekend daytime. Concessions: under-18s free membership; over-60s, Newham residents, full-time students, firefighters, police and NHS can get free off-peak membership and further discounts on longer plans.

Large Padel club. All indoor marquee style. Good coaching but hard to get a lesson. 9 courts that are constantly in use. Could do with being resurfaced on most courts as wearing out in places. Food and coffee very good. Staff friendly. Easy enough to park nearby. You can be graded to find a level that suits you so you play similar players. Hard to get rating up once you get one, it's a common complaint there with members. I find you can get a game most days. Worth trying if you love your padel

SPC is hands down the best padel club in London! I stumbled upon this place by chance and did my launchpad session on a whim, but quickly got addicted and am now at the club so much I'm surprised they don't charge me rent. The facilities are great, booking system great but it's the sense of community that makes SPC stand out. There is a very social vibe and it is easy to make friends on court, and I like the accessibility of the social events and tournaments. The coaches are brilliant too, and I believe my skills have improved a lot since taking lessons and coaching from them. Do not hesitate to come here, though warning you may never leave!

Best club in town! I’ve been in London for six months now, and I can confidently say that no other padel club comes even close to Stratford Padel Club. Extremely competent coaches, whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. The community is incredibly welcoming, and there’s always a great atmosphere both on and off the courts. I’ve never had any issues with level ratings, and there are always competitive matches available. On top of that, they host plenty of events and serve delicious traditional Spanish food, which really adds to the experience. It’s also very student-friendly (speaking as a student myself!).

I’d say SPC is a good club to get into padel, the staff and community will definitely encourage and support your journey. The facilities are good enough to keep you hooked and keep you coming back. Prices are great and I’d say the best service outside of playing are the local and international tournaments, always worth attending. As a club I know well, there’s obviously things which are not as good that you notice over time: no investment in the courts (general facilities), restrictive levelling system (no opportunities to play outside of your level), preferences for who gets coaching and who moves up, and generally probably lack of care whether players further develop or remain at the same level for years.

I’ve been a member at Stratford Padel Club and unfortunately my experience with the academy waiting list and customer service has been very disappointing. I signed up for the Level 1.0 academy in December and waited four months without receiving any clear update. When I asked about my position on the waiting list, staff initially couldn’t even confirm whether my name was on the correct list. I was told the person responsible was on holiday and that I would receive an update upon their return — which never happened. I had to follow up myself, and still no concrete information was provided. At no point was there an acknowledgment of a possible administrative mistake or a simple apology for the lack of communication. Instead, the situation was repeatedly justified as “high demand,” even though another club was able to offer me dates immediately. The issue was not the waiting time itself, but the lack of organization, transparency, and accountability. Because of this experience, I decided to leave the club and request a refund of my remaining balance. I hope the club improves its internal communication and customer care, as members deserve clearer information and respectful handling of their concerns. After waiting for 4 months the screenshot below was the response I received That said, I would like to recognize that the coaches are truly excellent. Richard and Juan are outstanding professionals — supportive, skilled, and genuinely passionate about teaching. I will sincerely miss training with them but good coaches are not enough to compensate for poor management and lack of respectful communication.
