Frindsbury Tennis and Padel Club sits on Frog Island, Upnor Road in Rochester (ME2 4UX), on the Strood side of the Medway. A major revamp brought outdoor floodlit panoramic padel courts that put Medway on the padel map; the club later added two more courts (announced for late summer 2025), taking the outdoor padel stock to eight. Hours run roughly 6am–10:30pm daily. Play is organised through the club app: book a court, join open matches by rating, or enter tournaments such as the Frimbledon Cup and British Padel Academy invitational events. Tennis remains part of the site — including artificial clay courts — so racket-sport families can mix disciplines. The clubhouse has a licensed bar, food, outdoor spectator seating, and ample parking. Contact: padel@thorndonleisure.co.uk.

A great Padel experience. Club is clean, well positioned and well maintained. I was visiting from Thailand and managed with my longstanding mate I have known 37 years...to find a pair to play for 90mins. Upon arrival Mark in the clubhouse provided a warm welcome and even assisted find us a player. I would recommend visitors buying "credits" in advance of a booking using the club's app so that payments go through and matches remain in place. Would definitely return at Christmas and I think the club is planning to put a roof or 2 on the outdoor courts.

New to padel and decided to join the tournament at Frindsbury Padel club with my family on the 9th of march and Honestly we had a great day really nice group of people the atmosphere was really relaxed. The tournament was organised really well and we all had a really enjoyable day. Licensed bar and food hot food was available. Cannot wait for the next tournament as I’m hooked on Padel now. This Padel club is an absolute gem great setting great surroundings and it’s a really nice place to play with six outdoor courts. Also it has an outdoor seating area which is great for spectators to watch. There is also ample parking at the venue as well. If you just want to give it a try you can hire the Padel bats at the venue. Also to make it even easier they have an app available that you can book games and also book lesson and see any available open games you can join and all up and coming events.

A great venue for Padel with eight courts and a lovely clubhouse. There’s a friendly and inclusive vibe within the club and I’d encourage anyone interested to get along and see why Padel is growing so fast in popularity!

Stuart and the team at Frindsbury Tennis and Padel club did a fantastic job of hosting Virgin Media O2 for their people engagement meeting and networking event, furnishing us with delicious catering, expert guidance and the warmest of welcomes. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We came away with a great understanding of the basics of padel and eager to come back and try it again!
