Membership & Pricing
Somborne Padel Tennis Club was Hampshire's first dedicated padel court when it opened in the countryside near Kings Somborne, between Winchester, Romsey and Stockbridge. The Padel Court Company built and still maintains the site: a single outdoor uncovered court with panoramic rural views that reviewers say are worth the weather gamble. The club is unmanned but member-friendly — a small pavilion offers showers, toilets and a kitchenette for post-match tea. Non-members are welcome by arrangement, while members book online up to two weeks ahead. Coaching from James Kendle (level 3 tennis coach, padel coach since 2024) helps newcomers get hooked on the sport the club helped pioneer locally.

I'm writing this review whilst this is currently the only venue to offer Padel Tennis in Hampshire. This is a members club, however membership is very reasonable. I play doubles with a group of friends. The courts are well maintained and there is a small but functional clubhouse with a toilet and showers. facilities. Also there is a seating area to relax after a game. The club offer club nights (I've not taken part in this). The above I wrote 6 years ago, and I'm updating to say that whilst there are more Padel courts available in Hampshire and the surrounding area, I retain my membership at Somborne. Not much has changed as such, but the playing surface of the court has been renewed, the price of court booking has remained more or less the same, the only 2 downsides are just the one court is available and this court is open and subject to the ever changing British weather. However the views when it's fine are just spectacular.
Great location. Really good afternoon and into the evening with well lit court. Signage needs to be improved to aid finding the venue.
