Padel4all Basset Down is a three-court covered padel centre at Basset Down Golf Complex on Hay Lane, just outside Swindon and about 1.5 miles from M4 junction 16. The setting on Wiltshire chalk downs gives it a more open, rural feel than a typical industrial-estate padel hall, while still being easy to reach for players from Swindon, Bath and the wider M4 corridor. Courts are lit and sheltered for year-round play. Staff such as Glenn and Matt get frequent praise for knowing members by name and keeping a strong community vibe, with socials, lessons and match-play layered on top of casual court hire. Demand rises at weekends and holidays, so booking ahead helps.
Facilities
Casual players use PadelPlay: pay-as-you-go court hire, private coaching, sessions and events, with bookings up to seven days ahead and flexible cancellation. Courts can be hired for one hour or 1.5 hours. Regulars usually move to PadelPlus membership, paid monthly or annually, which adds discounted court and coaching fees, 14-day priority booking, free racket hire, box-league entry, community WhatsApp groups, benefits at other Padel4all centres, and LTA Advantage Play Plus with Wimbledon ballot entry. I’ve been coming to this padel centre for the past couple of months, and it’s honestly one of my favourite places to play. The staff Glenn, and Matt are always so friendly and welcoming they know everyone by name and create such a great community feel. The courts are excellent and always in top condition, making every game enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of energy, and the whole environment is just lovely clean, well-organized, and full of good vibes. It’s the perfect place to play, meet people, and have fun. If you’re looking for a great padel centre with amazing people and a fantastic setup, this is the place to be! 🎾
