IØ Padel (IO Padel) is a volunteer-run padel association on Rue des Cayannes in Le Château-d'Oléron, on the Île d'Oléron in Charente-Maritime. The club keeps four covered padel courts open every day of the year from 09:00 to 23:00 — a rare year-round option on the island when the weather turns. The atmosphere is deliberately community-minded: WhatsApp groups help members find partners, monthly homologated and friendly tournaments fill the calendar, and an internal championship structure gives regulars something to aim at. Facilities
Annual membership runs September to August: adults from €60 (association + padel licence) or €67 with multi-racket licence; children from €35, or €140 including the padel school programme. Members pay €5 per person per hour (versus €7.50 for visitors), get free racket hire, and can buy hour bundles (10h for €50, 20h+1h bonus for €100, 50h+5h bonus for €250). Easy booking and impeccable service. The pitches are perfect.
We came to pass the time and go paddleboarding during our camping holiday, and we weren't disappointed. The volunteer was lovely, clearly passionate about what she does and dedicated to the customer and her little paddleboarding paradise. She even kindly joined our group by giving us a lesson. I highly recommend it! Don't change a thing, stay just as you are! 🫶
