The Complexe Sportif des Mimosas, better known as the Tennis Municipal Les Mimosas, is the main racket-sports hub on the Île de Noirmoutier in the Vendée. The complex sits at the entrance to the Bois de la Chaise, a protected coastal woodland, and combines tennis with newer disciplines including padel, pickleball, and beach tennis. Run by the municipality and affiliated to the Fédération Française de Tennis, the club has been refreshed in recent years with a renovated clubhouse, terrace, and upgraded clay courts. Padel was added as part of that wider project to bring more variety and a social atmosphere to the site. Visitors describe it as a family-friendly club where non-members are welcome, with staff who keep things running smoothly year round on the island.

Facilities

Padel subscriptions are aimed at island residents: 150 euros per person per year for those with principal residence on Noirmoutier, or 55 euros for adults and children who already hold a pack adherent tennis membership. New local players can try padel with one free hour on proof of a recent address on the island. Courts can be booked online through the municipal tennis website. The club runs collective and individual lessons, holiday stages for children, and year-round training across tennis and padel. FFT membership allows competition play, and the municipal programme is open throughout the year rather than a short summer season.

Tennis and padel courts with a clubhouse. A sports and family-friendly club. A great place where you can play without being a member and still receive a warm welcome.

How lucky to have this on the island. And Thierry and Christophe are always on top of things!

It's a shame there aren't more theaters and movies.
