Tennis Club De Saintes

What a joy to relax on the tennis courts after a long day at work! Especially during this cold weather when so many people are out indoors... I loved the warm and cheerful welcome from the lady who was so friendly, and having the court all to ourselves. The renovations are superb, well done to the club.

It could be really nice, but apparently the room with the two padel courts is poorly oriented, letting in a strong wind. Furthermore, the person at reception is very unpleasant.

The padel court isn't maintained like the tennis courts, not to mention the reception at the clubhouse with a very unpleasant woman. Luckily for them, there's no competition in Saintes.

We came for a team match. I was really disappointed with the way we were received. No friendliness, no sportsmanship... it's a shame, especially since we weren't at the Davis Cup. It's a shame to be treated like that, and then to eat after the match, we were offered leftover food from the other teams. Well, old habits die hard. What a shame.

Disappointed by my visit to the Saintes tennis club. Three TMC tournaments were organized on the same day. There was a lot of waiting. €20 for two matches. A regular player made some clumsy remarks to calm down a father who was unhappy with the organization. Really not great, especially considering how difficult it is to get young girls involved in competition. There was little atmosphere, not even a free drink for the participants. It's far from what you find in other clubs in Charente-Maritime.
