Membership & Pricing

Padel-Pista is Plentzia's municipal padel court, run by the town council alongside the Frontón Jai-Alai on Plazatxoa Kalea in this coastal Biscay village north of Bilbao. Built in 2011, the single enclosed track sits under a fixed roof with artificial grass and sand — a proper indoor-style setup that keeps Basque rain off your game. It is a community facility rather than a commercial club: affordable rates, online booking through the council portal, and a Tarjeta Ciudadana card system for access. Players praise the court surface and value for money, though the booking platform can be temperamental and heavy rain sometimes channels water from the adjoining fronton roof toward the entrance.

Facilities

Register free at erreserbak.plentzia.eus with your DNI and mobile number for SMS confirmations. Annual padel passes cost €30 for Plentzia residents or €40 for non-residents (calendar year). Pass holders pay €5 per hour (residents) or €7 (non-residents); walk-in bookings without a pass are €9 per hour. Lighting adds €3 per hour. Pay via PayPal or credit card, then collect your personalised Tarjeta Ciudadana from Casa de Cultura Goñi Portal. Each user may book one hour per week, though same-day slots are exempt from that cap. Reservations cannot be modified or cancelled once paid.

The court is perfect, if there's anything to say, it's that registering and booking isn't always easy because the system is often unreliable, and that when it rains, all the water from the Jai alai roof falls right at the entrance to the court. But the court itself is wonderful and the price is good, encouraging people to play and do sports.
