Membership & Pricing

The Leisure Box is a Burnley FC in the Community leisure centre on Glen Way / Northlight Parade in Brierfield (BB9 5NH), near Nelson. Padel arrived here as Pendle’s first court — one indoor doubles court inside a wider multi-activity hub that also runs gym, Clip ’n Climb, football, cricket nets, pickleball and parties. It is aimed at local community use rather than a dedicated lifestyle padel club: under-16s need an adult with them, and the tone of the site is inclusion and accessible sport. Bookings go through Playtomic in hourly slots (finish time at 55 minutes to allow changeover). Off-peak Mon–Fri 09:00–16:00 is priced at £20/hour; standard rate has been listed around £28/hour (£42 for 90 minutes). A recent Google review called the court decent but sand-based and a bit slippy, with racket hire at £2.50 and friendly staff.

Facilities

Pay-and-play on Playtomic without joining. Leisure Box Padel founder membership is £20 per month (cancel anytime): exclusive booking rights, 20% off court time, 50% off padel racket hire, book up to 21 days ahead, up to five active bookings. Separate gym membership exists for the fitness side of the building and is not the same product as the padel founder plan.

Had a cricket net session here today and it was a really good experience overall. The facilities were decent and well set up, perfect for getting a proper practice in. The nets were in good condition and everything ran smoothly while I was there. It’s a good place to train whether you’re just practicing or taking cricket more seriously. The environment was comfortable and I’d definitely come back again. Overall, a solid spot for cricket sessions — would recommend 👍
