Membership & Pricing
Tennis & Padel Courts at Heywood Sports & Fitness bring padel to Diss in Norfolk, on Walcot Road. The club built two outdoor padel courts that opened to the public after finishing at the end of May, timed with a wider refresh of the tennis courts, 3G five-a-side pitch and car parks. Heywood presents them as the first padel courts in Norfolk and Suffolk. Padel here is pitched as an accessible doubles game on an enclosed court roughly a third the size of a tennis court, with glass and mesh walls and scoring familiar to tennis players. The site stresses that beginners can get going quickly: rackets and balls are provided, and a little coaching is offered to help new players start. Sessions are booked in 90-minute slots so matches have time to finish properly. People of many ages already play on these courts, from young children through to older adults.
Facilities
Padel courts at Heywood are open to the public as well as club users. The website invites newcomers to join by visiting in person, looking around and meeting the team to see what membership and activities are available. Court hire and bookings are handled online through the club’s ClubWise booking system (linked from the site), or by contacting the club. For padel specifically, Heywood says they provide rackets and balls and a little coaching to help beginners get started. Proprietor Tom Bobbins is listed as the resident squash and padel coach. Detailed membership fees and padel court hire prices are not published on the pages reviewed; the club asks people to drop in or get in touch for current options.
