UK PADEL Newquay is Cornwall's largest padel venue, operated by UK PADEL inside the SeaSpace coastal aparthotel on Watergate Road in Porth, Newquay. The club opened as the biggest padel site in Devon and Cornwall with five courts: three doubles layouts (two under retractable roofs for all-weather play) plus two dedicated singles courts, the first singles lanes in the South West. The setting overlooks the north Cornish coast a few minutes from Porth beach, within a resort that also offers a pool, gym, café and restaurant. UK PADEL runs a welcoming community programme with beginners sessions, improver mix-ins, technical clinics, monthly americanos, open matches, Padel and Pints socials, junior coaching and the Cornish SuperLeague. Guests and locals book through the UK PADEL app on the MATCHi platform.
Facilities
Membership is 120 pounds per year (60 pounds for students or children), giving 28-day advance booking; non-members book six days ahead. A starter membership costs 25 pounds for two months and includes three coached sessions. Whole-court hire for doubles runs 24-30 pounds off-peak and 30-48 pounds peak for members and non-members respectively; singles courts are roughly half those court rates. Per-player match fees start from 6 pounds off-peak for members. Peak times are daily 17:00-22:00. Book via the UK PADEL app or MATCHi. Absolutely love this place! Such a welcoming club, great facilities and the staff are brilliant. I started here with beginners lessons, then some technicals and now join the improver session to keep practicing. Made wonderful friends and just love coming here to play!
Have played at this venue twice now. Managed to find a match with some locals at very short notice as I had travelled down to Newquay in very impromptu circumstances both times. The courts are slower than my usual courts because they are so new and the Astro turf hasn’t been trampled down yet which is a good thing, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit, and I will be returning next time we are visiting Newquay for more matches. Thanks to David for sorting out the first match and for adding me to the WhatsApp groups so I could sort the second one out by myself.
Have really enjoyed the club since trying a few weeks ago. David has been a massive help, coaching the game on court and off court introducing the league and the technical side of booking courts etc. I can’t recommend it enough!!
This padel venue is an absolute gem - great atmosphere and super friendly staff who make everyone feel welcome. Perfect for both beginners and regular players. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great padel community.
Joined Newquay Padel a few weeks ago and I have to say what a refreshing community and sporting experience. Friendly and inclusive coordinators and coaches. Communication via the what’s app and the Padel Uk app is great. As a beginner to the sport there are so many opportunities to get involved, improve and meet like level players. I live in Truro and it’s only a 20 minute drive to the club. Glad I joined.
