Membership & Pricing
The Atrium Health Club in Tilehurst, Reading is a independently owned premium gym and spa that has added outdoor padel to its Scours Lane site. Two uncovered panoramic courts sit alongside a full health club — gym floor, class studio, Himalayan salt sauna spa with plunge pool, and a coffee bar — so a hit of padel can sit inside a wider training day. Members and non-members book via Playtomic; the club’s own page notes extra courts opening to boost availability. Coach-led evenings, Americanos, and socials run through the Academy section of the app. Reviewers often join for padel and stay for the community feel — friendly staff, affordable hire compared with many dedicated padel centres, and a spa to recover in afterwards. Location is west Reading / Tilehurst, handy for the A329 and M4 J12.
Facilities
Non-members can book courts on Playtomic without joining. Padel Only is £19/month with peak/off-peak discounts, 12-day booking window, and free racket hire. Unlimited Off-peak padel is £78/month; Unlimited Anytime £99/month — both with £0 court fees in their window, 14-day booking, 50% off socials/tournaments, and free racket hire. Atrium Premium (£78) adds gym, spa, and classes with padel discounts. Platinum Off-peak (£99) and Platinum Anytime (£139) bundle unlimited padel (off-peak or anytime) with full gym, spa, and classes. Annual plans knock roughly two months off. Off-peak padel is 6am–4pm weekdays; peak is evenings and weekends. Day passes exist for gym/spa if you want to try the club without a padel membership.

Great gym, not like your commercial spaces it’s an actual community. All of the staff/Personal trainers are so friendly and are always willing to help with queries/training. Oh and if you havnt tried the spa, you are missing out 😊
Went as a day guest as my wife's family live in reading. Have been looking for a place to train at with a day pass for a while in the area. This place is incredible. The equipment is all top notch, elite in fact, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. A premium offering and very good value for a day pass. Would highly recommend and will be going back regularly
Simply the best gym we have ever been to, but that’s because it is SO much more than a gym, it is a community and a family. Josh and his team have created something special, never has that been clearer than this last week or so. Staff go over and above to provide for the members, and I speak for my whole family (my husband and 2 grown up sons who use the gym whenever they’re home from uni), we all get what we need from the gym, through a combination of classes, gym sessions and the facilities within it, the fantastic spa, the dedicated staff, and the community events. If you are thinking about joining a gym, just do it.
Can’t speak highly enough about Josh and his whole team at the Atrium. It’s got a lovely community feel, very friendly and inclusive. I joined to use the padel courts, which are excellent (2 outdoor, with 3 new ones being built). They also have a great padel coach (Tom), with good vibes. Such a great facility and amazing people.
This gym is amazing (no seriously, it’s converted me into a gym lover after years of hating it!) Really welcoming vibe, never too busy and clean equipment. Spa is so relaxing and the padel courts are great! The court hire is more affordable than most places we’ve been to. ❤️
