Membership & Pricing
Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre on Plas Coch Road is billed as the largest racket sports centre in Wales, combining tennis, padel, and pickleball under one charitable operation (Wrexham Tennis Centre Limited). For padel players the headline is three covered, LED-lit courts — described by the club as the first of their kind in North Wales — so you can play through wet weather and darker evenings without relying on a fully indoor hall. No membership is required for court hire; you book online through Clubspark whenever the centre is open. The wider site also has 12 indoor and outdoor tennis courts, four pickleball courts, mini courts for juniors, a café, heated viewing galleries, changing rooms, and ample parking. The centre regularly hosts national and international tennis events, which gives the venue a serious sports-centre feel rather than a pop-up padel shed. Reviews often note that the outdoor padel courts stay busy, which fits the club’s push to grow the sport locally.
Facilities
Casual padel does not require membership — pay-and-play court hire is the main route. Direct Debit packages on Clubspark are mostly tennis coaching and junior pathway programmes (adult social tennis sessions around £60/month, LTA Youth from £35/month, plus invite-only Future Stars and Performance squads). Those DDs spread coaching costs over 12 months and are separate from padel court booking. For padel specifically, beginners can join Intro to Padel courses at £11 per person, while regulars simply book courts online at peak or off-peak rates. Cancellation within 24 hours of a booking is fully charged under the centre’s refund policy.

Played a tennis tournament here. Very nice venue. Ample parking, great options at the cafe on site. Large viewing galleries and spaces to see the courts. The viewing areas are heated. Multiple bathrooms and changing facilities as well. They also have padel outside which seemed to be well utilised.
Very well organised ITF tournament. Improvements to the tennis courts have made a positive difference.
