Membership & Pricing
The Welsh Padel Centre is a dedicated padel club at Woodland Road Sports and Social Centre in Cwmbran, Torfaen. It markets itself as affordable padel rather than a full leisure complex: three covered courts, online booking, and a clubhouse feel for social play before and after games. The venue hosts the Welsh Padel Open and runs taster nights, coaching and social sessions that have built a strong local community. Courts are sheltered for year-round play, though the covers are not fully rainproof in windy weather. Access is automated via keypad or phone app with lights synced to bookings, so you can turn up without staff on site. Free dedicated parking sits next to the facility.
Facilities
Court hire is pay-to-play, but only members can book. Annual membership is £80 (or about £7 a month) and quarterly is £30 for 90 days; couples pay £120 a year or £45 quarterly. Register on the Acebook booking system first, then buy membership. Court rates run from £14 an hour on weekday early mornings to £28 on weekday evenings, with £18 for daytime weekdays and weekends. Family specials drop some off-peak and weekend slots to £10 an hour when a qualifying child or student is playing. Non-members can still join taster and group coaching sessions. Guests currently pay no extra fee if a member books the court.

First time trying padel and the experience was brilliant. The staff were incredibly friendly and really helpful with all my questions about visiting the venue for the first time. Loan rackets and balls were easily available, the facilities at The Welsh Padel Center are top-notch, and being fully sheltered means you can play all year round. The booking system is simple and works really well. Highly recommend. 🎾
Had a brilliant time with my family today at the Welsh Padel centre. I contacted them in the morning via email and he was very quick to respond. I was so pleased that we were luckily able to hire a court for later that day. I was given really clear instructions as to where the equipment was that we could use (rackets and balls) and the facilities were immaculate. We were all really impressed and will definitely be coming again when we are all in the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Superb facility. Brand new covered courts with very clean changing facilities and toilets and a well thought through club house and tables for relaxing pre or post game. This is a quite wonderful sport so please try it if you haven't before - I'm sure you'll be hooked! David the owner is very helpful and friendly and the rates are very reasonable for such great courts.
If you are a racket sport enjoyer and want a taste of Padel ball Dave does a taster night and I would thoroughly advise you take these. Informal fun and a very enjoyable, caution though as he will make you fall in love with the sport forever! Booking system is easy and the courts and atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming.
Unplanned stop over in Bristol with padel friends from Spain, searched for the closest club which was the Welsh Padel Centre. Managed to organise a last minute court reservation with David who was quick to reply and very accommodating and helpful. Very good facilities, 2 new covered courts, worth the trip!
