Membership & Pricing
This is Padel - Dronfield is a community padel club at The Akademy Football Centre on Callywhite Lane, just south of Sheffield in north-east Derbyshire. Three outdoor doubles courts sit on the football-centre site, so you get a straightforward local venue rather than a big branded leisure club. Players book through Playtomic for morning-to-late-evening slots seven days a week. Coaching is part of the mix: beginner Hello Padel sessions and intermediate Beyond The Basics classes run with coach Freddie, and Americano tournaments appear regularly for players who want a competitive evening. Reviews describe solid outdoor courts with floodlights for night play, and note there is no roof — so wet weather can stop play. Free parking and a snack bar keep visits simple if you are coming from Sheffield, Chesterfield, or nearby Derbyshire towns.
Facilities
Court hire is pay-as-you-go through Playtomic — there is no mandatory membership to book. Club credit is available as a prepaid option: pay £100 and receive £110 credit toward court bookings (about 10% off). Academy public classes are priced separately; beginner and intermediate group sessions have been listed around £10 for 60 minutes. Americano competitions are listed as ticketed events (recently around £17 for a two-hour slot). Open matches on Playtomic help if you need partners. Check the live Playtomic club page for current prices, class times, and credit offers before you book.
